Fault 1: Poor maintenance

The regular maintenance work has not been implemented, and the sliding seat of the linear guide rail may become dry or burn due to friction. Lubricating oil is needed to ensure its long-term precision operation.

Fault 2: Corrosion in aqueous solution

The invasion of water-soluble coolant can lead to a decrease in lubrication and rust prevention capabilities, resulting in corrosion of the linear guide rail. Thus, erosion occurs.

Main causes of occurrence: high humidity environment and invasion of aqueous solution.

Fault three: Overload

Many enterprises neglect the load-bearing limit of guide rail components in order to improve production efficiency, resulting in problems such as distortion and deformation of the guide rail. This should be taken seriously, otherwise, the guide rail will lose precision navigation sooner or later.

Fault 4: Low accuracy, poor rigidity of transmission mechanism, insufficient transmission power

Elimination method: Recheck the transmission mechanism of the machine tool, identify the unsuitable parts for assembly and adjust them, or disassemble and reassemble them to ensure a good fit, reduce the friction resistance of the components, and eliminate the crawling caused by insufficient transmission power; Strengthen the rigidity of transmission components, increase their strength, and avoid elastic states. Transform the transmission system, reduce the transmission hierarchy of the machine, improve the transmission efficiency of the machine tool to ensure sufficient transmission power and eliminate crawling phenomenon.

Fault 5: Oxidation and deterioration

Check the oil supply system of the machine tool guide rail and the condition of the oil film on the guide rail surface, adjust the oil supply valve to maintain sufficient oil film and good lubrication on the guide rail surface, and avoid dry friction.
